Ciné concert, 70 minutes / Super 8 couleur and N/B
Ethiopia – France – Sudan
Farenji deals about current political matters... “Farenji” in Ethiopia mean foreigners. Road book journey, the show bring us in an adventure into the heart of identity and its definition. Original and multidisciplinary creation, at the borders of cinema, music and slam, Farenji is based on a book of images, shot in super 8 between Marseille and Ethiopia, where “Farenji” name the foreigner and means «French ».
Poetic and politic proposal, Farenji opens a personal and collective issue about borrowed identity, phantasms of alterity and improvised encounters.
Between Ethiopic jazz and electronic music, Farenji chooses its celebrations and send us back to our foreigner quality as the most intimate common point.
